Welcome Aboard The CHANGELING!
My name is Nik Senska, and I'm a Science Fiction/Fantasy writer.

Okay, okay...You don't know me from Adam. You will. I'm currently working on a Science Fiction trilogy, and have several short stories simmering as well. I'll post the shorts from time to time for your entertainment.I've chosen a bioengineered living starship named CHANGELING as the theme for this homepage. She's a major character in a short story that I'll post in here soon for your reading pleasure.

Why Science Fiction as a chosen genre?

The answer to that one is easy. I've always been convinced that life exists on other worlds, and although it's unlikely that I'll ever witness a confrontation between species, I can still wonder what other civilisations would be like.Part of the pleasure of developing a science fiction tale is the joy of being able to 'build' a universe, creating worlds vastly different from our own, populating them with beings who, in spite of being very different on the outside, are in reality not so awful different from ourselves. My goal with my trilogy is to produce an alien culture so detailed that when you put down one of my stories, you'll even be able to play one of their card games,(or dice, or Schlisssta..what ever they use for tallying points.)

And what are my interests when I'm not writing? Well...

I spend most of my time writing...but when I'm not, I read voraciously, and spend a lot of time in the local library studying the writing tecniques of others, so that I might become a better writer.I'm also interested in Archaeology and Anthropology, and attend lectures and gather all sorts of data concerning the human animal. And of course..I'm a webhound. I've racked up considerable time on the Web. It's a facinating place. I'm currently attending a writer's workshop called the Writers Forums, or the Writers-BBS. It's a loose collection of writers, both professional and amateur, who get together to test out possible stories, grapple with grammatical difficulties, and debate the finer points of writing.
